Far Cry Primal system requirements – older graphics cards are not supported
The thing is that one of our editors played on his PC and was not satisfied with the quality of gameplay. And when we tested his machine, it turned out that PC meets only the minimum requirements of Far Cry Primal, so everything lags and slows. And in order to prevent this from happening to you, we tell you how to check the characteristics and configuration of your computer, so you can play Far Cry Primal comfortably.
Requirements to PC
Before you buy and install the game we advise everyone to see whether the system characteristics meet its requirements. To do this, open the tab “Computer” and then click on the icon “Properties” at the top, a tab will open, which will display the current configuration of your PC or laptop. After that, check each setting against these system requirements.
Minimum:
- OS: Windows 7/8/10 (64-bit).
- Processor: Intel Core i3-550 or AMD Phenom II X4 955.
- Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 or AMD Radeon HD 5770.
- RAM: 4GB.
- Free hard drive space: 20 GB.
Important – Far Cry Primal shooter supports only graphics cards whose specifications are higher than specified. Laptop with weaker graphics cards may not run the game, but officially it is not specified. Older graphics cards are not supported. On a weak PC or laptop, Far Cry Primal probably won’t run.
Recommended:
- OS: Windows 7/8/10 (64-bit).
- Processor: Intel Core i7-2600K or AMD FX-8350.
- Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780 or AMD Radeon R9 280X.
- RAM: 8GB.
- Free hard disk space: 20 GB.
Important – there is no multiplayer in Far Cry Primal, so the game at max settings and with the latest DirectX version will make the picture on the screen even more beautiful. But that’s all, you won’t get any more bonuses from high FPS.
But if the FPS will be low, then you need to optimize – update the version of the driver graphics adapter, reduce the settings to the minimum and check the FPS in ultra-saving mode. If lags and freezes continue, you can almost certainly say that your PC is not suitable.
To sum it up
Far Cry Primal will run on a PC with average characteristics. It doesn’t require some extremely powerful iron, and it is quite fit into the budget options. To play comfortably you’ll need 4-8 GB of RAM, a modern card with 1-2 GB of video memory and a normal CPU with 3-5 cores. If everything fits, then you’ll be fully immersed in the inexpressible atmosphere of the ancient world, spend a few days on the passage and learn a lot about the Stone Age.
